PRINCIPLE
The automated procedure for the determination of Nickel is based on the reaction of Nickel with dimethylglyoxime . The reaction occurs by oxidation step with iodine or Na2S2O8 to produce a reddish chelate complex. Amonium citrate is added to eliminate the precipitation of the metals hydroxide at PH 11-12 The color intensity is measured at 470 or 520 nm
